Barrys Bingo is Colorado’s first custom built bingo hall.

This bingo card has a free space and 30 words: 'Someone talk about that', Answers a question with a question, Asks the person who asks a question to answer it themself, 'Look, I agree with you', 'I lived in Europe', 'I have a friend in...', Completely ignores or dismisses something someone says, 'I was a public defender', 'No, we cannot not talk about that', Hypes himself up (drink twice if it's about him being a good lawyer), 'If everyone could turn their cameras on', Asks who read the chapter, Calls someone out (drink twice if they don't have their camera on), 'Let me ask you this', 'I went to college in Vermont', 'I'm gonna try to end class early today' (drink again if class actually goes over), Is met with a long pause (drink twice if he gets upset about it, three times if he crosses his arms), Interrupts someone, 'If I can figure it out on Blackboard...', 'I haven't made up the assignment yet' (drink again if he says that the day it was due), 'Send me an email if you have questions' (drink again if you do and he doesn't answer:)), Mentions his family, Reads directly from the lecture notes, 'Let's hear from someone else', 'Why do you think that is?', 'I don't know a whole lot about...', 'Tell me/us about that/it', Sits close to all of class in the exact same position, Asks if everyone can hear him and 'Has anyone seen the movie...' (drink again if you have seen it).

As many people know, as of 12/31/2020, browsers have dropped support for Flash. Although the site may continue to work for you for a bit of time, once your system has updated, the Flash content will no longer work. With these changes, this site is no longer be supported. I have been busy for quite some time creating a replacement for BarryFunEnglish that has been completely re-written from the ground up. You are encouraged to switch over to this new site and start using it at your convenience. I was hoping to have all content converted by the end of this year, but I'm not quite there and will be continuing to add updated content in the coming months. I am expecting to have the site 100% completed by February or March. From that point I hope that I can finally start to add some new content and features. Hopefully, the new site is the foundation that will keep the site alive for many years to come.

Some things to be aware of on the new site:

  • You can login with your BarryFunEnglish credentials, and your custom lists and subscription will automatically be transferred.
  • The migration only happens one time. If you login to the new site and make a change to your lists or subscription on this site it will not be reflected on the new site. Because of this I recommed sticking with the new site once you have logged into it.
  • With all the code changes it will take some time to work through any bugs. If you have an issue, please let me know and I will jump on a fix ASAP.
  • I've gone through a couple major UI updates over the years and with each update there are people who get upset with the changes because they are not used to them. For the most part I have kept the UI as similar as I could to the current site. Most changes were based on considerations for mobile devices. If you hate the changes, maybe give it some time and you will start to like them :)

Finally, I wanted to thank everyone who has supported the site for so long. I started creating these activities to use with my own teaching back when I worked as an ESL teacher in Korea between 2004-2008. I haven't taught in over 10 years, but have continued to work on this site as a hobby. I never expected it to be around for this long. There are still many users who have been using it from the beginning and I really appreciate the support.
